Joining up the rogues
undoing eternal values:
present doldrums

A frequent pilgrim
at Thy shrine:
sacred haiku poet

Pining love
piercing heart:
vigor is born

Saint chosen
to rule the land-
golden age

Green space
in the woods dark:
I linger here for a day or two

Sun’s genial rays
find me distressed and forlorn:
willow tree

Everything in my life
falling to pieces:
let me fly and repose in Thee

Radiant moon above me
the stars shine out:
elysian reverie

Green valleys and streams
hear my sighs-
my silence speaketh to Thee

Muses mourn
nymphs share my grief-

Time passes
evening comes on
