burst of awakening

not number of syllables 

Prayer beads

and a fat old man

laughing buddha 

Salvation

by not talking about zen-

laughing buddha gives candy to poor children

Angels compare him with lord

To avoid this laughing buddha

 Disguised in unpleasant body 

So handsome that men

Wanted him for a wife

So disguised as fat laughing Buddha 

Mantras and mudras

Cure all diseases-

Medicine Buddha 

The dance of love

Transcends evil and good

Poison doesn’t harm laughing Buddha 

Generating an illusory body

A spirit body

Attaining buddhahood 

Laughing Buddha is neither he

Nor she

But we
