A haiku trio celebrating spring, life, and death.

Image from Author

Tender peach blossom
Laughing in the spring sunshine
Young and full of hope

Fragrant peach blossom
Dancing in the pastel breeze
Bear the promised fruit

Royal peach blossom
Your jeweled crown reigns briefly
Your petals, too, fall

Although I as well am not a big fan of haikus/cinquains (my apologies for the incorrect spelling), you have created something special here. Excellent word choice and imagery-they juxtapose nicely.

    Keep up the good work!

Joel, your haikus are perfect. It’s not enough just to have the right number of syllables and the nature reference- the words themselves have to be beautiful and have to be poetic.
