With Halloween, costumes will tell us much about the children and adults who come from door to door asking for candy.

With the coming of Halloween

We can expect the ringing

Of door bells and costumes

Revealing a variety of tastes

The obvious during this occasion

Is everyone celebrates

Displaying their preference

Some kids may prefer to be

Supermen while others witches

- – -

An aspect of donning a costume

May reveal a period of time

A person may wish to convey

Being a knight

From the 15th or 16th century

Status may be on the mind of some

As they see it fit to be adorned

In Indian American regalia

Which indicates that they were rulers

Once of past tribes

- – -

Occupation may trigger some dressers

That will pose for Halloween

With glittering clothes

Followed by an entourage

Other obvious appearances

Are gender related

Where persons are either male or female

Lastly, there are children

Who range from the very young to teenagers

And like all others dress for fun

Yes, there are so many different costumes to choose from. I love Halloween. As far as costumes go, the scarier the better.

Nice photos. However I have never understood the real purpose of Halloween and this particular way people try to get closer to the mistique.

I found it kinda funny that the kid in the Robin costume was taller than the kid in the Batman costume lol. Nice pictures, and interesting write up. Thanks for sharing.
