To Alexus From Grandma…

Alexus you are, such a cute little one,

Full of energy when wake, till the day is done,

Sometimes talk back, with a little bit of spite,

Then say sorry, when parents say “that’s not right”,

You like to dress up, and act so sassy,

One day little one, think you will be quite classy,

You love your cartoons, especially SpongeBob,

Only for Grandma, will you eat corn on the cob,

You like to come over, and visit grandmas place,

You have such a cute, sweet smile on your face,

Pick out a scary movie, to watch together us two,

Then into kitchen, we make some popcorn too,

The movie plays, so many questions you do ask,

Keeping up with you, can sometimes be a task,

So polite at times, cute when you say Thank You,

When you fall asleep in chair, look so peaceful you do,

Young you are, so much imagination in your mind,

The simplest thing, yet so much fun in it you find,

Your lovable, sweet, so much fun to have around,

The love you share, with everyone is so sound,

Even a new baby brother, with you now in the house,

You know when he’s sleeping, to be as quiet as a mouse,

You go up and play with him, a game of peek-a-boo,

So excited you get, when he giggles back at you,

Constantly having so much fun, you run and play,

Today you grow a bit older,  four years old you are today,

So this poem is for you sweetie, grandma wanted this to say,

I love you lots, and want to wish you, a very Happy Birthday…..
