Memories I’d almost forgotten
Not having kittens for awhile
But now that they are here again
All I can do is watch and smile.

For hours on end
Our new kittens play
As my cats and I sit
Watching, out of the way.

They’ve already found the cat tree
Where up and down they go
Run across the room then back again
Such good exercise the help them grow.

Last night for more than an hour
They did nothing but run around
Up and down that tree they went
Then fell asleep without a sound.

They’re seeming very happy
And healthy as can be
What a truly wonderful thing
To have two new little kittens for me.

And my other ‘kids’ also seem to love them
Almost as much as I already do
So I guess in a sense, you could say
Some of my dreams have come true.
