“Hard as a Stone”

How hard is your heart? How cold is your soul?

How much have you abandoned, Cold enough to be frozen?

And to feel no pain, hard enough to withstand,

The wind and trouble ahead, you’ve abandoned love,

 And abandoned life, Abandoned yourself,

Death consumes, your insides cringe,

You feel the pain, again and again,

But you like a stone, like a rock in the river,

Never surrender to the currents, against the obstacle in your path,

Hard as stone, and tough as steel,

Nothing you can’t survive, nothing you can’t over come,

No road to long, no mountain to high,

You are empty inside, but not born this way,

But made this way, from the betrayal and pain,

The regret and the shame, now you have no name,

No person no soul, all alone in this world,

You’ve pulled yourself out, and now you’re safe in your solitude,

Alone in your world, by choice not by fate,

Is it worth the sacrifice, is it worth the loss of you,

And commit to your hell, you were made to love,

And made to feel, made to suffer,

And made to heal, made to believe,

And made to go on, made to survive,

Made to be alive, made to never die,

So open your heart, and warm your soul,

Heal your pain, and live another day,

Live to breath, and live to love,

Live to forgive, and live to be real,

Live for the truth, live for what’s right,

Live for the goodness, and follow your light,

Don’t cower in darkness; don’t give up the fight,

Let nothing bring you down, and refuse to frown,

Keep pushing on, keep being strong,

Live the life you were given, don’t waste a second,

Do the best you can, and fear no ones hand,

You are the beauty of God, in its truest form,

So live for his name, and your soul he will clam.
