Leaving and sad.

Time savored

Only to run out

And I stand here wanting

wishing

that you feel the skipping heartbeat

that flutters so softly it almost purrs

I want to keep you

lock you up in my box

that you would rely on my moves

my breath

To satisfy your hunger

Time savored

It goes by so quick that I never had time to blink

And I ponder the day

when you won’t need me anymore

that I will crumple helpless

into a heap of brokeness

I think to myself

Will you still savor

the love I give so honest

and free

It is so hard to say  goodbye
