Hate is a Word…

Hate is a word we choose to use,

In many forms,

Even to amuse!

And quite frankly, hate is great!

Hate is a word used by those

Who’ve landed in disagreement with others.

And is often assumed by those

Who think the same.

Hate is a word so strong,

It can build walls and gates.

Hate has gone on for so long,

It doesn’t break.

Hate is a word used in anger or frustration,

That can lead to crime and mutilation.

Hate has shown its face many times,

And can usually be heard at least once before bed time.

Hate has driven people to tears,

Even prolonged one’s fears.

It can even force a poor soul to insanity,

Belittled and forgotten by his own family.

Hate is best demonstrated by politics and religion,

Crime and war.

Even in things that hate was not meant for.

And in the worse cases, blood and gore.

Hate is a word…

Yes, just a word.

A word so powerful,

that it can do so much harm

To one planet,

To one continent,

To one nation,

To one group,

To one family,

To one person…

Yes, Hate is a word…
