Scary poem.

Image via Wikipedia

I wandered aimlessly through the cemetery,

on that strange and foggy summer night.

A bright full moon shone overhead,

leaving me paranoid and frightened.

I came upon a closed wooden coffin,

I cautiously lifted its creaky lid.

Then I leapt away with a loud scream,

for lying inside was an appalling sight.

I heard the clatter of a bony skeleton,

as the scent of decaying flesh filled the air.

With my heart pounding wildly in fear,

I fled screaming from the haunted cemetery.

That’s scary alright. Don’t be lifting up lids out there. Another good one, D.

old cemetaries like those in England are fascinating.. so many graves of children and unknown people. Although sad, they are thrilling to visit.
