This is a poem about the people who once lived in a castle. When entering a castle you always get a feeling that someone is watching you.Perhaps it is all the history there or perhaps someone is watching you.

Once a grand castle
Where lords and ladies called home
Filled with its splendor
Now turned to rubble and stone
The ghostly knights galloping
Around the mote now dried up
The draw bridge long fallen
The doormen come call en
The empty tower
No longer holding its guards
But a feeling they were still watching
The lord of the castle
Still held with high regards
Once dancing to the music
The ballroom now in shambles
The ladies dressed so beautifully
The courtyard filled with brambles
Slaving over the red hot stoves
The deserted kitchen still feeling hot
The servants hurrying on their way
Fulfilling their duties for that day
The echo’s of the horses
So long ago in the stables
The hired hands playing cards
Around the broken tables
The dungeon underground
Always so cold and black
The stench of the dead traitors
Forces the past come back
All the haunted images
Stay forever the same
For the ghosts of the castle
Will always remain
