A poem about mourning over lost love.

Tonight, I’ll sleep with the fear

of waking when the world is deep in slumber.

Dawn brings out visions

of tears flowing through tender cheeks;

tears of joy, of love, of surrender;

dissolving walls between our hearts

and bringing all conflicts to oblivion.

I find them more ghastly

 Memories of joy rather than pain;

joy as subtle as the feel of your breath

tickling upon my chest, As we sat on the grass,

admiring the stars that dare withstand

the charms of a moonlit night.

Tonight, I’ll sleep with the fear

that once again, in silence

I’d wake up wishing we never realized

that love needs more than its self to survive.

    If the Pain stays in your heart Learn to love it. For a while Pain will be your best friend.
