When you step on stage
to unleash your lyrical rage
or you ujust your mic
to fit your perfect height
or flip through your book to
find your page.
Before your lips part
remember a true poet
always speaks from the heart

Weither your standing
in front of thousands
or spittin’ your Poetic Flows,
late nite on blog talk
radio shows
or maybe your just doing a test run
for your love one’s
you never know how many people
listening are the lost ones
If your at a podium
in a coliseum
getting ready to spit your flow
for complete strangers
understand that there are too many dangers
with being recklass
with your pen.
If you don’t stand for something
you will write about anything
and the word’s you speak
wont be touching
the one’s who came
to be touched with in.
It doesn’t matter how vicious
your tongue may be.
If your not challenging people mentally
or how cold you are with the Ink
if you can’t make people think.
People are listening
SO PLEASE HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY
Get in yo’ creative kitchen
and cook up some food for thought
make the world digest yo’ flow
shoot lyrical bullets
that penetrate the heart
and the soul.
After all,
what good is ya flow
if you can’t speak about hope
or uncover government lies
the world is dirty
and your words should be like soap.
Verbally cleaning victims
and saving soul’s for the Kingdom
and at least
have one piece
that brings tears to people’s eyes.
Dont be affraid to write the truth
for too many years
too many of us
grab our pen and paper
and run and hide
If God told you to write it

If you dream about it
THEN WRITE IT!
If you’ve lived it
THEN WRITE IT!
If youv’e survived it
THEN WRITE IT!
If it touches you
THEN WRITE IT!
If you’re feeling it
THEN WRITE IT!
If people need to hear it
THEN WRITE IT!
If you feel it in you’re spirit
THEN WRITE IT!
We’ve been given these intellectual gifts
and our pen’s translate
our thoughts
But to whom much is given
much is required
and remember
a true poet always speaks
from the heart
Understand that
the lost soul’s
the broken hearted
the despondent
those in despair
the suicidal
the murderers
the rapist
the hopeless
the helpless
and the whole world is listening
