Clouds sing – at least, in this poem they do. Have you heard them?

1.

Have you heard the clouds sing?-

At the dawn of the day

When golden lights arise

When the sun jumps up to play…

2.

Have you heard the clouds sing?-

When they’re fluffy, white as snow

Billowing and making shapes

Swans, or, poodles in a row…

3.

Have you heard the clouds sing?-

When they’re black against the sky

Rhythmic drums sing their thunder

After lightning streaks flash by…

4.

Have you heard the music?-

In wispy clouds prancing by

Galloping and rearing up

Sea horses swim the sky…

5.

Have you seen the clouds sing?-

In colored notes of every hue

Yellow, orange, scarlet-and-

Deep crimson, when day’s near through…

6.

Have you heard the clouds sing?-

With silver lights and indigo

At night and when the moon is out-

Hear them sing as night does flow…

7.

Take time to hear the music,

Time, out, from other things-

Look upwards for the music

And for you the clouds will sing.

Wonderful, Carolyn Ann. It\’ll make me look at clouds differently from now on!
