A new fangled way to grow tomatoes.

I recieved my product in the mail today

That I ordered about a month ago

It’s guaranteed to make my life easier

When my tomatoes begin to grow

My plants will be hanging upside down in a basket

No more back breaking bending will i have to do

It will change the way i grow my garden

This invention could be a scientific breakthrough

I saw this product advertised on TV

That i felt might be worth the cash

$19.95 for the whole growing kit

So to the post office i made a dash

I’m excited about getting started

Spring will be here in a month or so

I just hope Ronco didn’t rip me off

And my tomatoes fail to grow

Hehehehe…love vine-ripened tomatoes with flavour…they’re in season here from November to April (Aussi summer)…but do ya think I can grow the damn things…the vine starts off as good as gold…then the plant goes brown and wilts…looks like it’s got some sort of exotic STD for God’s sake! Might have to try a Ronco if we can get ‘em here ~ I’ll give ya a gold poetry logie for this piece Hfj :-)

Great poem, hfj. I saw those adverts too. Let me know how it all turns out, I might give it a try. I bought something similar at walmart one year. The seeds and soil came in a small container and all I had to do was add water. After a few weeks the plants were three feet tall and full of tiny little tomatoes they were the sourest things I’ve ever tasted :-D but they did grow well.
    Good luck.

Tomaytoes as ya call em over there Hfj are fairly easy to grow.
Plenty of water and food once a week, once they start growing, and you are on a winner mate.
In a basket form, may need two waters a day in hot weather.
    Nice poem too ol pal.

I got one of the upside down tomato hanging baskets from walmart last year. The cherry tomatoes did spectacular on the bottom. But, the top plant (Big Boy tomato) didn’t do well at all. Good luck with yours:)

I did try to grow tomatoes once but I don’t have a green thumb. Those I planted died while those tomato seeds that were just thrown on the ground grew well. :-( Nice poem you have here about tomato.

I made my own upside planter using a kitty litter jug. It’s amazing how fast they grow. I hope your do well.

Sounds delicious – hope it all worked out! I must say I was sceptical, but then again back-breaking work isn’t really one of my issues. Neither, for that matter, is growing tomatoes, but that’s beside the point.

Nice share, once again I liked the rhyme scheme you used – am I sensing a theme here?

    All the best,

    Elsie.
