Service Men and Woman I thank you for your service to our country and the sacrifice of your life to protect us from harm.

Your time of sacrifice hasn’t gone unnoticed

Your time of sacrifice hasn’t been forgotten

Every day someone’s child signs their life away to protect others

Just as you are doing or have done

They do this out of respect for those who serve and those who did

A life of respect and gratitude surly is not enough

There are those who don’t get the honor and pride we bestow upon those who serve

Ignorance doesn’t change what you have accomplished throughout your life of service

We salute ALL our heroes -

Those who have fallen,

Those who live on, and

Those beginning their journey

A heart-felt THANKS is what you ALL deserve

Blood spurts in profusion
Justice the illusion
Bodies ripped and torn
Frightened hiding so forlorn
Women and children fear
Sometimes a soldier sheds a tear
Not so glorified
In another landscape he died

We don’t thank those enough who give the ultimate price for the freedom we all enjoy.

Yes, I totally agree with you lxdollarsxl. I believe I read that post of yours, I enjoyed it very much. My husband is a soldier and has done 2 tours thus far in IRAQ.
