Another little bit relating love to something, this time it is geologic features and minerals.

Heart of Stone.

A heart of stone is what we share, you and I. not because it is a vacuum in space, enclosed from the world, nor because it does not long to love. Quite the contrary, our heart united is strong and diverse in the dialect of lovers. Such as the sheer strength of a diamond is followed up by a delicate beauty no one can ignore. Our heart has many properties. It shines with the light of the sun itself. A single star in a solar system full of hearts created by true love; with properties as diverse as the cosmos themselves. Some are wrought with the green envy of an Olivine, longing to be like every other heart, but crumbling to pieces by the time it reaches its destination. Others are like the noble Quartz, abundant and well rounded to last long. Better still is the heart we share, one so unique that no level of research could ever determine its true form. We are caught up in our own world’s ever changing media. The heat and pressure of our own dilemmas creating both magnificent and terrifying displays. Mountains are created and destroyed in an instant by a simple kiss. Our love is not something that just exists, nor is the heart anything more than a vital organ. It is when a relationship becomes a varietable system when it can truly be called love. As I look into your eyes, I see the depths of the ocean, brimming with life and promise. And as I gaze, I smile, for our heart of stone is still beating.
