My vision of Heaven.

Image by Ben Sutherland via Flickr

When I think of Heaven,

paradise is what I see.

God sitting on His throne,

Jesus there by His side.

The large Pearly Gates,

streets made of pure gold.

Clear sparkling blue streams,

green meadows with flowers.

Angels wearing white robes,

many departed loved ones.

Good luck to those who have strong faith.!
    You captured their feelings well.

To those who cannot believe in heaven, heaven is based upon faith, supported by traditional doctrines of religion. Religion is something people choose to believe. Religious beliefs provide purpose for living. It is much easier to die knowing that your life meant something and you will pass on to something better than to die wondering if your life was important and feeling empty.
