Violent death….

Image via Wikipedia

Reality would keep,

while sinking in the deep,

I gripped her arm

with unspoken feeling,

my mind reeling,

lungs filled with water

until it couldn’t take,

so I went out in the wake

of incomprehensible loss,

death lingered,

like a great white shark,

no more fear,

for a moment I was blind,

the bright light was near,

and Heaven made death so divine.
