Poem.

Hello child,

Why are you crying?  Did they leave you here, all alone?
Dear child,
Please stop your whining.  If they hear you, my cover will be blown.

Let’s hide out here, under the safety of this old oak tree.
We’ll pretend that we’re bandits, running to be free.
Forget all of the worries that weigh on your heart.
You’ll soon learn that leaving is a mysterious art.

You poor child,
Tell me what happened, did someone hurt your feelings today?
Hey child,

I know that it may it sound like a silly cliché,

But please remember that tomorrow’s another day.

So for now

Let’s hide out here, under the safety of this old oak tree.
We’ll pretend that we’re bandits, running to be free.
Forget all of the worries that weigh on your heart.
You’ll soon learn that leaving is a mysterious art.

My, my child,

Now you’re in a mess, so deep.
What can I do for you, I can’t stand to watch you weep.

Put on a smile, we can stay up all night.

We can dance with our shadows in the firelight.

Let’s hide out here, under the safety of this old oak tree.
We’ll pretend that we’re bandits, running to be free.
Forget all of the worries that weigh on your heart.
You’ll soon learn that leaving is a mysterious art.

Don’t let those worries weigh on your heart.

You’ll soon learn that leaving is a mysterious art.
