The dark side of the heart overtakes us all

The deception, the lies, all of the empty chimes

This all shall lead to the end, our downfall

With our corpses being such loose-ended rhymes

What will the world do without its light?

I just can’t stand around here moping

What will we do when its fight or flight?

All the more, I’m forever hoping

I don’t want to see my loved ones crying

I’ll eradicate the darkness from my life

My eyes have seen too much dying
