War now?

Fresh on the heels of Iraq and Afghanistan

The country again embroiled in a fight on land

Where said Qadafi , “You can’t stop me”

And now we start to count the dead

From the dread that is Japan, nuclear radiation

Spreading from missiles being laid down on Libya

People kill me with their hierchial hypocrisy

Why no humanitarian ’strikes’ in Sudan

Where genocide in Darfur is consuming the human

No interest there? Only lives without treasures to share?

For whatever reason we’ve labeled him heathen

Is now the right time for waring season?

Near perfect lines. I love loosely phonetic rhyme schemes like Consuming/human. There is another poet here that has a strong grasp of this as well.

Makes reading her work as enjoyable as it is to read your own.

You brought this home with the poem. Darfur is almost forgotten. It begs to ask the questions is there life meaning less? No all life is precious. Acts10: 34, 35
