2009 was eventful. Grievances were many and terror keeps haunting. Let’s hope 2010 ushers in a brand new order of love, peace and unity among the nations of this world. Hope is still alive and the way to peace is not lost. Somewhere in the forest of our vicissitudes, there is a clearing, directing our footsteps toward peace that seems so far away.
The New Year is in
with spectacular bang!
Chiming the entrance
of 2010.
Let’s hope the war
and terror will end
Though we know not how;
we know not when.
There’s so much to do
we haven’t yet done
The burden being heavy
as heavy can be;
Terror keeps digging in,
stubborn and free.
Hope hasn’t faded;
peace isn’t tossed;
Let’s look for a clearing;
the way isn’t lost.
The sun shall keep shining;
shadows shall pass;
When heaven shall scatter
the clouds en masse.
Here’s hoping that soon,
we know not when
Peace and prosperity shall
reign once again.
