Children is the mirror of our action. What they live is the reflection of how we live as matured individuals.

Hey child, how are you being created? Hey, Mother, Father, how did you create your child?  I just would like to share this magnificent poem that is very true! It is in the hands of the parents, most importantly, the acquisition of good values…We want a better world today? let’s paint our child with love, hug them with tenderness, lead them to the right values..Easy being said than done! Yes, we must labor and give importance to the value formation of our kids. It is easy to justify that we taught our kids with good manners and values but till we see how our kids live shall determine what kind of parents we are or teachers we are to our children.

And we cannot wash our hands……..please be mesmerized with this poem…

A Child Learns What He Lives
By Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D.

If children live with criticism,
they learn to condemn.

If children live with hostility,
they learn to fight.

If children live with ridicule,
they learn to feel shy.

If children live with shame,
they learn to feel guilty.

If children live with tolerance,
they learn patience.

If children live with praise,
they learn appreciation.

If children live with fairness,
they learn justice.

If children live with security,
they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.

If children live with friendliness,
they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.

After reading the poem, I hope there must be a little guilt and pondering on how we formed our children. Thank you for reading, thank you for giving much importance to our children, thank you for sharing this once more to others, thank you for giving importance to the world’s future..It is in our hands, therefore, the kind of life our children lived!

I used to have this poem or a very similar one on the wall of my classroom when I was teaching. It served as a reminder of how children need to be treated to feel their worth. A very inspiring article.

i would say this may be 99% true. I agree, what you teaches your children is what they will reap as they grow up. But I have seen some who were raised in a God-fearing community yet they end up in misery. Why, environment is a big factor to consider in rearing up your children. Thus, we parents must know personally who our childrens’ friends are .
