The effects of having AIDS.
He smiles for the camera,
It’s all fake delight,
The truth is on her face,
For they just had a fight.
He’s good at covering up,
And hiding his feelings,
But she can see right through him,
His smile has no meaning.
She’s amazed he can stand there,
And pretend he’s so calm,
When he should be on fire,
As if she dropped a napalm.
Deep down he is worried,
Thinking of all the happy days,
That will come to an end,
Because he has AIDS.
He can’t believe she gave it to him,
And tonight he’s gonna die,
And he’s smiling but he’s thinking,
I love you, goodbye.
