A poem.
highschool sweethearts, once so inseperable
but now to eachother seem so despicable
they fought the world for a love the bared deep
a few years later that love began to seep
seep through those same fingertips that once were intertwined
nothing but intoxicated arguments & infedelity at mind
a child at 5 years and one more on the way
is the baby really his? who’s to say?
Trust, a thread so thin, so fragile at stake
so easily broken by a single nights mistake
An attempt to save her love, she continues to lie
he thinks to himself “they say it’s not mine why?”
They each deny what they know is true
she continued to hide what he already knew
not once considering the child who will be confused of his own father
but then again, does anyone ever thing of the children? not a bother.
