Along the highway of heroes a soldier takes their last ride

As a Nation looks on with both sorrow and pride.

In a flag draped coffin along this long lonely route, with a tear in our eyes we give one final salute.

They gave for our freedom and ask us not for one thing, but remember them in love

in anthems we sing.

We salute our heroes for this great nation we cherish, for with out these young soldiers our freedom would perish.

A nation says thank your for the ultimate cost as we hold back the tears for a hero we lost.
