His Reaction in poem and story form.
Will wanted to leave, but I told him that he was not leaving. I wanted him to be with me when I told her. I needed someone to be there. If Will would have left I would had never told her. I needed someone to keep me calm.
My mom walked threw the door with bags in her hand. She looked straight at me. There was this weird vibe in the air. Will sat quietly. I took a deep breath and said “Mom I’m gay!” She replied “Why didn’t you say something earlier.” She seems mad, but ok with it all at the same time.
I didn’t know if I should be sad or excited about her reaction. That’s when it happened. She called my dad on his cell. “Your son has something to tell you.” We all sat around and waited till my dad got to my house.
I was calm until he pulled up. My heart started to pound again and my body started to shake. I was back to sage 1. “What do you have to tell me” he asked. I waited for a couple of second and said “I’m gay.”
He stared at the ground. “So how long did you know?” He asked hard questions, but not many. He kept staring at the ground never in my face or eyes. I felt bad. I felt like I let him down. I was mad at my mom for making me tell him.
A hour passed and my dad texted me on my cell. He asked if he could tell my grandmother, his mother. “Yes!” I said. I really wanted to say no, but I thought I at lease owned him that much. I can tell he was crying. I could sense it. I felt like I let him down.
For weeks I have not talked. I didn’t really notice at first. He became distant. He returned back to me with open arms. I was so happy. We are closer then ever now. He does not treat me any different.
