Poem about when you finally break free from a bad relationship and the optimism for the future.

I look out on a world without you a better place it is too.

I sit quietly in my room not making a move just pondering things through, the way that I so often do.

The outlook is better for me now I’ve removed you.

More positive for me, you’re just a page in my history.

I finally leave my room at about 3pm happier now then I was back then. The hold you had over me was clear for everyone to see but that has been confined to my history. I found strength within to walk away, I found strength from deep inside not to stay.

A better day now for me now you’ve been confined to history.

2010 isn’t  gonna be like last year now you’re gone things seem so much more clear and that’s the way I like it, living without fear living without you here.

You pushed me so far to the edge I almost disappeared but now I see things clearer, now you aren’t here.

I look round my house nice and cosy, where once it was so cold but now full of warmth from new found optimism now I have broken away from the chains you had me in, from your prison.

I am now free, free to be me. Free to be whatever it is I want to be, now you’re confined to history I can be all I choose to be

I will never again fall down flat on my face never again will i let myself come second to anyone in any race.

Never again will you see me, never again will you see my face, never again will I fill that empty space in your heart and never again will I let you rip me apart

To me you’re confined to history and that’s the way I want it to be.
