A poem on how life’s friends sometimes end up enemies.
What do you do?
When Friendship goes bad
And your best friends
Become your worst enemies?
Smiles turn to smirks
Laughter turns to scorn
And the people that picked up life’s pieces
Now stand there only to rip them to shreds
My arms were once covered in kandi
That they soon ate as a snack
Mocking my purity
Till I swapped it with lust
Leading with my heart
Rather than my head
Bottom of the barrel
That’s where I hit
The crap shoot of life
And a pit full of quick sand
Continuingly trying
To DRAG, ME, BACK
Grabbing the stitches I’ve used
To patch the tares
Pulling them out
ONE…BY…ONE
My “friends” are now acquaintances
And acquaintances are
Now best friends
Life moves on
People change
I’m not looking back
