Holi.

The spring season in India has is very dear,

To majority of Indians as Holi is very near,

The festival of colours bind everyone together,

People of different castes greet each other.

Lord Krishna is remembered for the occasion,

Basant Utsav is celebrated with procession,

Red, blue, yellow, green all colours greet the sky,

Pichkaries, toy pistols, balloons are hurled to drench the dresses which are dry.

Only fear lies in the celebrations not reaching extremity,

The playing with colours should not harm uninterested community,

The flow of colours kill many germs which appear due to end of winter,

Just like new leaves, flowers in the spring, Holi bring joy, aspiration for new year.

The gulal which is called abir in regional languages in India have a good influence on the skin. After the departure of winter and arrival of spring, the use of the colour keeps away many viruses in the atmosphere. Holi in that sense in a blessing for the people as well.
