An author’s difficulty in grappling with the pains of growth.

Holy Content

Holy Content! Where in the world could you find a site,

Which publishes your masterpieces at the speed of light?

It’s so awesome I am still in a state of denial,

That out of the 20 or so submissions not one was held on trial.

Never in my wildest dreams dare I believe it can be true,

Having my work published and feeling like a real pro.

Long have I struggled with the most reluctant doubt,

That I could be an author without passing many routes.

I really don’t know why I landed into Triond’s door,

Talk of serendipity  I know not how to stress it more.

And so I started  sending some more pieces,

Which for many years got yellowed and had accumulated creases.

What great relief I had when I received a congratulatory message,

That my submission has been accepted and can be seen in its webpage.

From that time on I coursed along breezing through the traffic,

In cyberspace at last I’m feeling just terrific.

Holy Content!  But where in the world could a writer like me survive,

Until how many views will I have to accumulate so to the bank I’ll take my stride,

All I can see in the earning columns day after day,

Are series of zeroes to my great dismay. Holy Content!
