Childhood memories of summers.
Walking with bare feet breaking through the crusted earth
The feel of the soft, warm soil between my toes, rich and fertile
Black birds swoop and dive for treats in the fields
Drawing intricate patterns in the air with their dance
A breeze lovingly caresses my upturned face
As if my grandfather were welcoming me back
I am home
