Poem:

There’s a worthy 

get-together

up above;

dedicated to

unity and love —

a nesting quest

for one and all –

joyful birds of color, 

big and small.

But alas!

below the trees

on sidewalks bare

sit human beings

homeless,

going nowhere,

lost and confused,

denied of food

and care,

dependent on

whatever

you can spare.
