If you have ever experienced this special sickness, you will relate to these words of mine. It might seem funny to those who have never experienced this bunch of emotions.
Nothing cures home sickness other than going home
One thinks it will soften, yet the pain remains like stone
Lingering tears trickle down the cheek and face
A deep sore within, should really be no disgrace.
Passing time; one thinks will be the cure for all
Then pops up the missing, quickly followed by the bawl.
Age is no cure for home sickness, I sure can attest to that
Wish I could encourage you , yet I admit that remains so flat.
Diversion works for a little while, to keep the mind busy
Then home sickness reappears making you so dizzy.
What could be the solution to which I explain quite well?
Just one great remedy that you know would be swell.
Other than going home, I’d be glad if you’d share
Any steps you take; listening to my words as you compare.
