For one reason or another there are many people who would really very much like to leave the nest of a home they have, but can not pass the threshold of their doorways. They sit in the dark or relative darkness of the little safety and seclusion they have. Perhaps they only need a helping hand. Perhaps they fear any hand. It can be very sad, but with the right person offering the right help at the right time in the right loving gentle way… then they might roam.

Curtains drawn
Candles lit
Eyes half shut
Lunch not yet

Face the day
The clock does say

Face the day
I linger home
I really wish
Outside to roam
