Vulnerable and true.

Oh! And of a
Sudden you did appear
The shadows we followed
When once the heart
Was torn in two

We walked in love’s
Hopeful embrace

The night was yet
Still a bit young
The twinkle in your eye
Faded yet, not so much
As much as I did say

The night, was young
Oh so young!

And my memory did fade
You spoke
The spark of hope
Did reel and take me home
Did ignite a new
Passionate flame

The heart did spin
And twist a bit
Did smile
And fawn
Alit

Oh!
And how you did make
The strongest
Promise
Indeed
The most
Eternal vow
Divinity’s
Eternal need

Divine, devout
We stood
At heaven’s
Golden foot
We stood
Vulnerable and true
The hearts that risk
The hearts of two

Do not lose that hope. It is good and it shows in your good choice of words in this poem.
