A fast beginning that was destined to hit a brick wall……

I have a new goal in life

That i set for myself today

I’m going to write a masterpiece

“Hot content”, i’m on my way.

I’ll labor hard to pick the right words

Then put them in perfect format and style

Hoping to impress the folks at triond

So i can stay on that “hot list” a while.

As i start my journey

My confidence starts to fade

Words that use to come so easy

Are now just a masquerade.

My enthusiasm is now wavering

From my lack of talent and brains

A quitter i feel that i’ve now become

My ego is now wet from sweat stains.

What it feels like to get “cold feet”

When you suddenly realize your limitations

And your great journey ends with “defeat”.

A newbie like me dosen’t expect to make any ‘hot list’ no matter how good my content is. I would strive to make it there later on – but if you’re a veteran here and good at your craft like you are, then you should be on the Hot Content List – did this poem make it to the Hot Content List Hfj or at least top Authospot?

Making it on the hot content list is like being a vet, sitting outside wal-mart wearing an old WWII saying I remember back when I was on that list, why seems like yesterday.
