Saddam Hussein – was he sane?
Swoop down and captured Kuwait
United States troops landed in Saudi Arabia
Battle ships were on patrol
Fighter bombers traversed the skies
The fate of Iraq laid in a balance

President George Bush made his push
What would be our bill in the Gulf?
How did this event impact the Palestinian question?
Would Arabs turn against Arabs?
It was hot in the desert sand
The sun heated things up daily
There was a yearning for cool running water
Instead illusive justice flowed
Diplomacy was disrupted
Who bargained with whom?
Terrorism became the game
With humans as decoys
World leaders made their move
The heart beat of the free world quickened
Guns blasted away
Humans worldwide continued to breathe in bated breath
