Ever been away on business and stayed in this place?
Hotel
As old and tired as the guests
The décor reeks of years gone past
Tired workers come to rest
Sinking pints before the last
Orders are called, filling the void
Back to their rooms with dated art
A bed as empty as the soul
Knowing in their weary heart
Awakening again, barely rested
Another day in a dismal place
Days apart, being tested
Longing for a loved ones face
Liberation comes with checkouts passing
Escape the suits and silver hair
Bacon and egg repeat their massing
Leaving behind institutional despair
