Like a house of cards you topple.
It took but a breath,
A catch in the wind,
A shake of the table
To make you fall.

And all others follow suit.
Like those dominoes,
Knocked over accidentally
In a moment of frustration,
We’re forced to start again.

And we can only rebuild
From the bottom up.
Not hover in midair,
A floating pair of kings.
Life is rational that way.
