A poem that explains my pessimism in the world.

With a skip and a shot,

and a blow from the end,

of the shadow of death,

and the battle between men,

this world has shown me

nothing but hate and evil,

greed and misfortune,

to those that don’t deserve.

How this all began

was from the birth of a single molecule,

a ripened death growl

that shook the Earth into existence

and left us all to flounder among dreams.

Days only pass

and in the end,

we’re still young.

We’re still ignorant.

and nothing can change that

because we were born humans

and that’s all we will ever be.

Just the same old molecule.

Filled with hate and pessimism.

Well written. I would have a sad view of the world too if I thought I was nothing more than the flesh and bones I live in. Guess I’ve always felt who I am transcend the molecules that make up my body.

A little depressing but deep. Worth the read.

I like the logic flow, and the relative but still abstract imagery. Good work.

And especially the title was nicely creative.
