We all know that day, the one where work seems unreasonable, when we don’t know what else to do to make things go right.

How many more pounds of flesh did you want?
I’ve neglected family and friends,
I’ve given up or hidden ideals,
I’ve slept on your schedule,
Eaten when and where you said,
I’ve put in the hours, the effort;
Moreover, I’ve hoped, I’ve dreamed,
I’ve wanted.

What? It was the wrong pound of flesh?

    some people want more, you give the best part—they want it all…

    Good analogy!
