Did you just go to one company/agent? Should contact an insurance broker who will try and find you the best premium...check with somone off shore and see if they have international policies. If you need a line on one, let me know. Might be understandable if it was a deadly disease, but debilitating is very different. I used to work in insurance sales myself for a while and life cover was viewed as a necessary evil. here are other ttimes when cheap cover is offered with no medical checks like here in Oz. Look at a 101 policy where you should be able to get cover at levels you pay for at whats affordable to you. Cheers peter A good realistic article/story.
