Our first tentative steps to travel to the stars,

It’s obvious to all that our second was to mars.

And on we traveled to Jupiter and into the depths of space,

Hoping we find something, besides the human race.

Many light years we want to travel,

Many mysteries to unravel.

Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, Venus, Mercury and Mars,

Just some of the planets we have studied on our journey to the star.

It is human kinds way to quest for worlds that’s new,

To give attention where it’s due.

Looking and listening at the void, hoping we are not alone,

I just hope they pick up the phone.
