What we see, what we feel and what we’ve done.
Frustration, anger, irritation
the building rage that plagues our nation
Forgetting what is right and true
not living by the golden rule
Love and compassion pushed aside
so easily dismissed, like the tide
Caged people we are, in our minds
unyielding is our stand on life
Thinking we are always right
living in unholy light
Forgetting where we first began
living on this wondrous land
The kindness of our hearts have failed
the fight against the jaded tale
The curse upon humanity
to give the same as you receive
The fight to hold the good inside
seems to fade with passing night
We look upon the world today
heavy hearts filled with dismay
