A poem about a girl.

A woman is what a man wants her to be,
She’s only what the world sees,
And nothing in between

You trusted her just as far as you threw her,
But you never really knew her,
And she spat in your face

It’s such a disgrace,
The way the world spins at times,
Time flies, life lies,
In reeking decay

Humanity’s humility got the best of me,
I believed it when I was younger,
But it spat in my face

This race, this pace,
I can’t keep up anymore,
But I won’t lie down,
No, I won’t trip up

And I can’t spit it up,
I can’t live it up,
No, I won’t give up,
I’ve got my youthful ideals
To back me up

Wow…what an eye opening perspective. I’m kind of speechless. Well done.
