This is an original song that my friends seem to enjoy and all refer to as the “Humpty Dumpty Song”- the name stuck. In a way, this is my response to the idea that evil dwells in everyone and corruption is unavoidable.

Everyday there seems to be
A different break in the harmony,
But not even all the king’s men
Could put this mess together again
If everything is crumbling down
A little bit everyday,
Where will people find the will
To ever find a different way?
I grew up thinking- Humpty Dumpty just fell from the wall
But I knew for certain- the London Bridge really did fall
And this has me wondering- was there ever hope for us at all?
Cause’ we live in a world where babies fall cradle and all
Ashes and ashes
Begin to cover more ground
Sooner or later,
We all fall down
But if we knew this
If we knew this all along,
Where do the people come from
Who find it in their heart to carry on?
I grew up thinking- Humpty Dumpty just fell from the wall
But I knew for certain- the London Bridge really did fall
And this has me wondering- was there ever hope for us at all?
Cause’ we live in a world where babies fall cradle and all
On this broken path,
Some people find their own way out
And if there’s hope for some,
Isn’t there hope for everyone?
I grew up thinking- Humpty Dumpty just fell from the wall
But I knew for certain- the London Bridge really did fall
And this has me wondering- was there ever hope for us at all?
Cause’ we live in a world where babies fall cradle and all
