May they rain down on us all.
Just before I awoke this morning
I was having a dream I didn’t want to stop
For it was one of those wonderful to have dreams
Where in life it’s easier to get to the top.
For you see it was raining
But it wasn’t raining rain
It was raining hundred dollar bills
Making wealth easier to gain.
I don’t know if it just rained down for me
Or if they were raining down everywhere
As I’m the only one I saw
Collecting those bills as they fell here and there.
I don’t really know where it is that I was
It seemed a happy and quiet place
There were flowers and birds and butterflies
As peace and joy glowed on my face.
I saw no one else
No wildlife around
Though birds did sing
The falling money made no sound.
I only saw me walking down a wide path, through some woods
Sun’s rays beautifully bursting through the trees
Whose leaves though were not made of hundred dollar bills
~They just rained down from the sky on a gentle breeze.
The sight was so amazing
Green bills golden in the sun
Making a green bed on the ground
A feeling so serene as down they continued to come.
I could actually see me stooping
Every here and there
As those hundred dollar bills
Continued falling everywhere.
And as I stooped to gather
I could feel the warmth of the sun on my back
As silently, with a smile on my face
I placed them in a bright, Yellow ’smiley-face’ sack.
I’m not sure if I had only the one sack though
Or if there were others earlier in the dream
But I suppose it doesn’t really matter
As everything was beautiful and oh so serene.
Then all of a sudden I was lying awake in my bed
Five of my seven cats were here beside me
I wasn’t really sure I was ever really dreaming
Except no longer, falling bills did I see.
Then as I laid there peacefully I wondered
What if I was still there
Could it have been possible
To maybe find the end, of a rainbow somewhere.
But oh well, dreams, they always end
Either they’re just dreams we have, we give up on, or they come true
I only know if this somehow wasn’t a dream
It’s really something today, that I’d like to do.
