Poem about a hungry lion that comes across a tasty victim, an antelope.

The hungry lion

Searched for prey.

He had not found any

Prey that day.

Looking across the savannah,

The lion finally eyed

A most succulent treat,

A wandering antelope.

Mmm thought the lion,

My luck has finally turned.

Stealthily the lion approached his victim.

Then a few seconds later he attacked.

The poor antelope didn’t have a chance.

The lion roared after striking a fatal blow.

Dinner was now at hand.

After a delicious meal,

The lion smiled and then fell fast asleep.

Long live the King of Beast.

    Oh give me a home
    Where the buffalo roam
And the deer and the antelope – oops.
    Never mind.
